- ext . ashley is using her authority as a spectre to go out & assist the galaxy in any way she can . sometimes this is helping refugees . sometimes this is gunning down slavers & mercenaries .
- ext . set decades into the future . ashley is an admiral of the alliance navy . alt . ashley is the human councilor .
mass effect 2 squadmate . highly au . there was a time in between shepard coming back & ashley being stationed on horizon . shepard actually did manage to get in contact with ashley before the events of horizon occurred . ashley agreed to meet up with shepard to get an understanding of the situation , & managed to get context for what happened , as well as decide for herself if shepard was really who they were or not . however , she did not become a squadmate at this point . the events of horizon occur , & the reunion is not charged with anger . shepard’s story about the collectors attacking human colonies is confirmed . ashley finally sees for herself what is happening . she states that she’s been trying to warn the alliance of what has been happening , & was assigned here to see if anything like shepard’s claims would happen . deciding that she cannot let shepard fight this battle on their own , & with human colonies disappearing , ashley tells shepard that she’ll go with them , to help fight the collectors [ & partly to keep an eye on cerberus . ]

ext . vigilante . ashley is a vigilante operating out of [ redacted ] . she isn’t known by any sort of name , but the police are currently working to track her down after she gunned down multiple areas where mafia members were meeting . she doesn’t work without purpose , & she doesn’t kill someone without knowing for sure that they deserve it .
ext . ashley is a cop , frustrated & fed up with the amount of crime that slips through her fingers . while she doesn’t love vigilante justice , she slowly begins to see that it is necessary when so many criminals slip by without it .
